Ok, so before fab .. back in the day .. how did you find playmates?

Personally before fab and this type of site, I used contact magazines orrigionally, contact Collums and adverts in papers and fanzines.

And round about that time, the standard rate chatlines and telephone messaging services.

Later on text chat services like ZED and then WAP chat.

Oh yeah and ok, a marker pen and certain known cottaging toilet walls.

It happens. I hooked up with someone on the bench outside the chippy after a night out once. We chatted for a while eating our chips and one thing led to another. It is the only time I have had sex with someone who's hands smelt of salt and vinegar. It was a most unexpected end to the evening.

Before that I was married for 20 years! Before that there was no Internet, no mobile phones, and I usually found someone for a relationship amongst my peers - college, work, social networks...once or twice the ubiquitous 80's wine bar lol!

I don't remeber anyone being picky in Darlington or Berlin lol. Berlin was the first town I ever went out cross dressed. Darlington .... I wouldn't have dared.
