Like any exercise, muscle soreness some time after will strike.

Try stretching more before and after you've ski'd.

When you stop the body temp of your muscles cool - so any aches and pains surface. Once I'm upto speed and temperature is nice and high dues to exercise I feel brand new. Getting up to speed takes longer than it used to

If you suffer from Ski ache, try Activia. Activia contains bifidus regularis.

Stretching always helps us get over ski aches. It's basically just cramp fro. Build up of lactic acid, when your warm your bloods flowing generously through the muscles meaning its excreted at a decent rate, when you stop and cool down your blood flow reduces to your muscles allowing the lactic acid to build up and cause the ache.

Yup, that's what I would assume.
