London and France

"Can you belie it?! "

Yes; many systems can detect and block sites which may be regarded as sexual, "pornographic", or don't have the required security certificates.

The reason hotels do this is not being a net nanny' it is because people in hotels tend to watch porn and this slows the wi-fi down, you need a vpn (virtual private network), like Express VPN, even if you are not computer savvy it is pretty easy to use, download, then connect to a country like amsterdam, the hotels wi-fi filter cannot read the IPN and therefore doesn't pick up 'swingers' in the url and allows you to access

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I can't use Travelodge wi-fi at all. My phone had a conniption with it once and has never been able to connect since.

Virgin Trains wi-fi doesn't let you access Fab either.

Hull but travel regularly

Hotels I stay in normally allow it. McDonald's don't though, have to turn my wifi off when I go anywhere near them. Makes me feel like such a pervert

Some browsers aren't as susceptible to being monitored so closely, so consider trying with others. I've used fab on virgin train Wifi btw.

If you're finding websites are blocked (using free wifi) download opera vpn (100% free) onto either your mobile, and/or your laptop.

As an earlier poster said - change opera vpn location settings to Netherlands or Germany - usually on English speaking nation.

Then just point browser at the website.

Should work.

I travel a bit in UK and have noticed this. I use a proxy to bypass the filters.
