Has anyone else ever heard of the ingredient methylisothiazolinone?

It has recently been contained in Nivea face cream which apparently I am allergic to

I've been using this bloody cream since I was 18 and never had this problem before so why have they suddenly started putting this crap in it

I'm fuming because of the reaction I have had

Just wondered if anyone else has come across this as it has also been in other beauty products recently

It has now been banned but still things on shelves that contain it
