I see Brian Souter (he of Stagecoach and gay-basher in chief) got a knighthood.

That should tell us something about how the government feels about homosexuals.

Brooke Kinsella gets and MBE. Good for her, she put her career on hold and decided to do something about youth and knife crime.

How come Tony Blair and Gordon Brown haven't been awarded peerages. Historically, former PMs are given life peerages automatically once they've left office.

There's no obligation to accept any so-called honour.

Oh, I don't know about that!

She could get an honour for services to the Make Up Industries, that is, for keeping them in business!!

After, all, she slaps so much of it on each day!

She once said on a talk show that it takes her at least 2 hours each day to apply her make-up.

She takes the word "subtlety" to a new low!

I've just had a glance at the Official List and the citation reads "Bruce Joseph FORSYTH-JOHNSON, CBE, For services to Entertainment and to Bruce Forsyth Charity."

When you search the Charity Commission website the term Bruce Forsyth you get

"Charities matching your search ...

Your search for 'bruce forsyth' has produced no results.

Click on New Search to try again."
