He was an excellent actor not to mention he did some fantastic roles on screen, another one sadly passes on but his legacy will continue to live on.

I made some terrible jokes tonight, sick, too soon, drank too much, enabled, propped up, collected, hugged, made tea and inappropriate comment and did what I could to lighten the load.

His monologue about Samson & Delilah in 44 inch chest was comedy gold

His performance in The Elephant Man was spectacular

His down played Stephen Ward in Scandal excellently portrayed a tragic figure

Now, this man was a great actor

Not famous because he was beautiful, but famous because he could act.

Some where in West Sussex

Another legend gone.

The list of his achievements are end less but for me he will always be Winston Smith ( 1984 ) and The War Doctor.

He will be sadly missed

couple, us we him her.

Fantastically versatile actor took a massive chance taking on the naked civil servant.

But his quality shone through.

Been in over 200 film's.

Mostly great but the odd smattering of dross, but he was never typecast, could play the fragile or the menacing, crazy or highly intelligent.

A sad loss.

Absolutely!

Hurt took on difficult and challenging roles, alongside those memorable and iconic ones everyone has seen.

A great actor whose performances will always be remembered his portrayal of

the elephant man and quentin crisp and his role in alien was out standing one of

The old school of actors who carried

his persona off the big screen even into

Inter_iews.. r.i.p. john.
