Don't want to spoil your fun... but you're not allowed to use them on planes!

I have been using e-cigs for 3 years and can tell you they are not allowed to be used on a plane. If you look you will see signs saying no smoking or imitation cigarettes, you will however have fun at customs checkpoints...I always get stopped and quizzed.

I don't know which e-cig you use but I suggest the Tornado with the e-Tank system for best results from totallywicked and get your liquid from a company called juicycigs. happy vaping

Mr

I have tried intellicig and there e-cig has nothing compared to the power of the Tornado albeit the Tornado looks nothing like a cig but it will stop you looking for a fag.

No e-cigs permitted on planes?!! Whaaaaa?! How do they justify that exactly? Killjoys!

don't know how they justify it, might be because of the batteries, might be they don't want any confusion, they might get pissed off telling all the passengers that ask what it is...I just know it's not allowed.

I'm kinda curious... why would you use an ecig for three years? I bought mine to help me deal with the cravings when I stopped smoking... I don't use it much, I'm not had to change the cartridge yet but I think it's a psychological thing... a bit of a comfort that I have it if I need it. I don't expect to still be using it in three months time, never mind three years...

Apparently, the air supply on planes used to be better quality when smoking was allowed. Basically, since they banned it, the airlines don't have to replenish with clean air as frequently... so you're basically inhaling farts.

I enjoyed having my smoke, I still do enjoy my smoke(e-cig), I did not however enjoy the thought of killing myself with cancer, I chose to use the e-cig as a replacement to smoking as I don't want to stop. I have not had a cigarette for 3 years and am very happy to continue using the e-cig. I would defy you to find 1 company who actually advertises it as a smoking cessation aid, all companies advertise it as a replacement to smoking and that is how I use it.

I am happy you are using it to quit altogether and everyone else who uses it to quit also.

each to their own and all that. xx

That will be good news if airlines have had a change in policy and now allow them, I could only speak from my previous experience with them.

Its true the cabin air supply used to be changed more frequently, and also the nicotine would help out the techies as it showed up any maintenance defects in the cabin with it being yellow. However with the rising cost of fuel it is several re-circulations before the air is changed. Yes..germ heaven.

The main reason is because it could cause people to think its real (uand spark one up themselves. It looks pretty much like the real thing (and you always get one on their high horse nowadays) Its better to abandon the idea than rather have what could be chaos onboard. We still get the occasional smoker who has to spark a real one up in the toilet..but regrets it when they are arrested on arrival and fined.

Some airports do have outdoor smoking areas 'airside'. East midlands and manchester (T1 and T2) for instance.

It is in the crews welcome pa/safety brief that even the electronic ones cannot be used (at our airline anyway). Ryanair do sell them, but given the chance they would sell a hernia if they could if they would get a right price for it.

Im pretty sure Birmingham will say no to your question..but its worth a go anyway.
