"London will have to grasp the nettle and do something real about pollution. Other cities are taking measures; It needs to severely restrict traffic. Restrictions on traffic unless it has more stringently applied clean air testing; Restrictions on old and polluting vehicles; The ability to have " alternate traffic" days (only vehicles with odd registration numbers may drive on odd dates, evens on evens etc. It needs long term investment in controlling vehicles and offering clean transport alternatives " . Actually it's not really about age but fuel. Diesels are not good at all for cities

"These are the top 10 most air polluted cities . Rank City Pollution Index 1 Kabul, Afghanistan 103.92 2 Accra, Ghana 102.61 3 Tetovo, Macedonia 98.09 4 Faridabad, India 96.58 5 Cairo, Egypt 95.99 6 Kathmandu, Nepal 95.76 7 Dhaka, Bangladesh 95.35 8 Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia 95.34 9 Karachi, Pakistan 95.29 10 Ghaziabad, India 95.27 . 166 London, United Kingdom 55.72 " . I wouldn't swear to it but I'm pretty sure Kathmandu is last or second to last. It's basically deadly or about as toxic as smoking but every breath.... It's really hard to stub that one out!. . Ah well at least they'll fair better when the great flood comes in a few decades and that should wipe most of London and the west so they can claim parity

"should move up north it's cheaper and has these things called fields and countryside. But Northerners live there " Please do not encourage more Londoners to move northwards. Whilst I have nothing against them personally, they have a tendency to inadvertently bump up house prices. They sell their dog kennel in London, move north, buy a six bed mansion with paddock and room for a pony, and have change left in the bank. It stops first-time buyers from being able to get on the property ladder up here.

"Thousands of deaths every year from it but you'd not guess from the lack of government action - unless it's something that they don't care about. At least Europe has had standards and enforcement for such dangerous measures." . We've got standards as well... We just ignore them

Too much talking about standards and not enough action taken in my opinion. Wouldn'y wanna live in London anyway!" . I was lucky to get out 6 years ago... It's a hell hole I tell yer
