Not retiring

Central

It's possible that some people won't be able to afford to retire - especially young people who might be saving forever to buy a home but not investing additionally in more pension payments.

How would you relish working for the rest of your life? Would you drastically reduce expenditure so that any tiny income would suffice to support you not working?

I've retired - no lie - 3 times. Parties, cards, collections &c.

Doesn't stick.

I've done one, I've probably got another two to go yet.

Essex.

I'm retiring 60, may get a part time job to kill a few hours a week.

Luckily I should be able to help the children get on the property ladder but house prices are a blessing and a curse...

a quandary, could you change my mind?

Not sure I want to retire, believe it keeps us going, know too many people who have retired and died shortly after.

Retired once. Back in full time work again, although far more laid back. I need to keep busy or I could get into all kinds of mischief..

We both retired early, so we can hopefully enjoy it before we are too old!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I've been paying into a pension since my early 20s and I know the pot isn't big enough to retire on. If I sell my home and move Ooop North I might be able to retire but that's not my idea of a good retirement.

If I die early then my pension is worth something and can help the kids leave university debt free.

I retired 7 years ago, do some work every now and then, keep it simple training or short time development type work so I avoid getting hooked into it.

I don't have time to work.

Hilary has no desire to retire.

I'm semi retired now and am hoping to cut my hours even further shortly.

I won't be working past my 55 birthday.
