Feeling rather violated and not in a good way

My car got broken into over night... and all they took was the play and kit bag and some make up.. and my swim bag

Oh and a new pan id Brought for Mr...

I am feeling rather violated though as the stuff taken was all my floggers and pinwheels.. glass dildos etc.. and my best underwear.. loads of condoms... and all but about 3 of our club cards..

Police arent bothered.. and while ive sorted the broken window etc.. but i suddenly feel rather exposed.. and as my swimming bag was found discarded mostly over a local park.. I am stressing now that the more adult bags ( which were kept in the boot away from prying eyes) will share the same fate.

Just feel so gloomy although it could be worse.. but it is a good 600 quids worth gone.

My car got broken into once and all they took was a scarf that was in the back. There was money left in the car but was untouched. They emptied my glove compartment on the floor and that was about it.

Makes me wonder why they bothered.

sorry to hear this, police are pretty much uninterested in this kind of crime sadly

ive got the number. But they left a ring.. and a crate of beer and my daughters ds.... but took the bag with 5 floggers.. pinwheels..glass dildos.. butt plugs etc etc...

I share your pain I've had three cars broken into over the years. It's such a hassle getting windows replaced but fortunately I only lost a phone and the rear parcel shelf . I now don't keep anything of value in the car - sad state of affairs really.

Oh my that's rubbish pants OP, got mine broken into in the summer, swiped the satnav (I know I shouldn't have left it in there), happened at a mega low spot in my life generally and sent me into a spiral of yucky. However, they were thieves without taste, as my rather beautiful Ted Baker heels were still in the footwell.

You can trash my car, but you can't take my heels (in Braveheart stylee).

Hoping it gets better for you OP.

Juat realised they have my camera as well... hope the password protection works well

Neighbours think we will find them on their cctv though as I had to park further down the road so was right in front of their camera

It's all about speed though bags xan be grabbed quickly and sorted later (as you found with the park dumping.) And usualy contain valuables

There isnt time to root around and lugging a crate if beer ain't worth the efrort when you think they can be bought for a little over a tenner

the police dont come out to finger print cars.. they have left loads over my car and a footprint but police wont be attending.

That's awful ... it's bad enough to have anything stolen from you at all but I understand why you feel exposed and violated because what they've taken represents a very personal and private part of your life which 'they' had no right to know about.

Given the value of the stuff you've lost it's frustrating the police can't do more but, as ever, it's about allocation of resources these days. Personally, even if your things could be recovered I'm not sure I'd want them back if 'they' had had their hands (or worse) all over them.

They did with mine when I lived in Surrey as they broke into the neighbours too. Only last year.

Police are now going to attend in the next few days as we have them on my neighbours cctv. They take a good 5 mins to look through the bags.. obviously both work at the same place and no gloves on hence the police will now attend.

Was quite upsetting to watch them. But it also showed them being picked up by a van... and another neighbour thinks they may have a better angle on the van with the numberplate. So we shall see.
