Plumber/hoover washing machine advice

I'm looking for someone who can give me a few more options to try and clear and E03

YES: it's been switched on & off

YES: it's been switched off overnight

YES: I've checked the machine filter ( no visible/feelable blockage)

YES: I've unfastened the waste pipe to the sink u bend (no visible blockage)

I had a bock in my sink which prevented the water draining from the machine.

No it was ( but slowly) took me ages to find the problem. It was clogged on the pip further down ( like outside) so when my washing machine drained it would either come up in my sink and also not drain properly from the machine

Have you tried having the filter out and a towel down then pouring water in the drum and seeing if it then comes out?

There's bound to be a blockage somewhere it's just a case of starting one end and working your way through til you find it.

I had those dye catching sheets blocking mine! Took ages to unscrew the filter too due to limescale.

Do you have a manual drain pipe near the bottom of the machine??

I had to use that when my machine wouldn't empty

Is the problem that it won't spin / drain? Seeing as you're looking for blockages...

Is there a drain cycle? If so when you on that cycle can you hear the pump working? If it isn't a blockage it will be the pump that needs replacing.

I have installed many a washing machine as a plumber. And one thing that I have found, that is quite common, When they attach the waste pipe to the spigot that in on the trap of the sink. the installer i.e. forgets to cut off the blank to the spigot, that allows the water to drain into the trap from the machine waste pipe

The machine is unable to drain the water away

Should the error code E3 appears it is warning that the machine is not draining. You can easily fix this problem by removing any blockages from the drain pump situated at the front of the machine for easy access.

If you read the original post you can see I've so ready done

The basics

Based on common sense

Hoover advice and general u tube

The machine isn't new

It's was working fine

And ghd fter and waste pipe and just bend are clear

Much appreciated but I'm looking to see if there was anything I could try

Is your washing machine not draining ??

Pull out the machine. Lie down on its side and leave for a few minutes. Stand it back up and try it again. If that works put in cleaning tablets and run the machine.

Have you checked the washing machine filter itself? The one in the washing machine not the waste pipe?

EO3 is a blockage thats stopping efficient drainage.

I've just googled the error and Hoover's website states :

Is your washer outlet connected to the kitchen sink waste?

Its ok to connect your washing machine to the sink but it is possible in these situations for food deposits to clog the washing machine connection and prevent it from emptying out. This should be checked as error code 3 means that the product has not been able to drain off quickly enough.

best way i found to discover if the pump is broken is to (use a bucket for this) but try and drain the washer while the drain pipe is still fitted but lay it low down so it kind of drains without the need for a pump. if it does drain then it probably is that, the cycle will work and not error.

i've googled and can't find anything other than what you've tried, did find a cool 3D site though so personally happy.

Hoover machines last about three years or slightly longer as do the Candy models.

? How old is the appliance how many times a week is it used.

I believe the pump has decide to stop pumping

I am not an engineer just design kitchens and specify appliances but certainly not that brand

If you're going to criticise and berate people for simply trying to help, then may I instead suggest that you call an engineer out at £60 per hour (plus parts) instead?

There are some of us on this planet who are helpful in our nature and will try to help others if, when and where we can.

Admittedly, not all suugestions or advice proves useful, but the intentions are good.

Or maybe in future, we shouldn't bother.

It can be one of 2 reasons you've got a blocked pipe, which you say you've checked and is clear, or the draining pumps knackered,hopefully a loose electrical connection,not full replacement, sounds like you need a service x

I think that is where it is narrowed to unfortunately. Thank you.Unfortunately the reason for so much diy was lack of funds :/
