i was stung this time last year too. i live in South Devon and know its a smidge warmer than some parts of the country but im with you on the logic they should be snoozing or dead..

I've seen two of the fuckers in other people's houses in bloody December. ..and they were big fuckers "

queens woken up to early from hibernation .most likely the same as the one that stung the op today .

really they shouldn't be waking up until the daffodils are in bloom .

bees are super important to our eco system and our food production and there in decline big time .
