Is it genuine insomnia or are you just bad for switching the devices off and relaxing properly?

I do a little but I don't particularly exercise and typically stare at a screen for 14 hours so I've only myself to blame.

I kinda only sleep around 5 hrs most nights even after a full 13 HR day at work. As about you do you sleep during the day or drink to much coffee tea etc.

Same as me. I end up on my phone or ps4 because I just can't shut off. It's an ongoing battle !

Happens quiet often. Apparently smart people don't sleep much. That's what I keep telling myself. Lmao

I spent most of last year getting about 4 hours or less a night. A supplement called 5-HTP seemed to help on and off. Might be worth a try. You can get it on amazon or from holland and Barrett

it's a pain. more physical activities during the day, no napping, generally more structure helps me. sometimes related to low mood as well... and making myself getting out of bed and doing stuff if I can't sleep ... seems there is always some cleaning up to do lol

I don't have caffeine from late afternoon.

Avoid light from electrical sources - TV, mobiles, lights etc - blue light amongst the white, disrupts your hormones and body clock. Use filters for blue light. Phones held close to the face neednt be that bright but their proximity and light will affect you.

Yeah I drink tea which likely plays a part. My body clock is beyond buggsrd I think. Good to know though!

Suffered Insomnia from my late teens which I blame on night shift and staying in a studio flat at the time with an ex.

Would finish work at 7am sleep at 8 and back up around 10am and spend time with ex then back for a few hours sleep in afternoon.

This went on for years and my body has just accepted it and I can live on 2 hours sleep per night.

It is a nightmare though when you meet someone and finally stay at there place one night and you are wide awake after 2 hours sleep .

I have the same. I function on 2 hours a night. Similar to you with different working schedule and trying to still have a life.

I'm forever being told to change my job to night shift jobs. Same for meeting someone. Always an issue when I'm stuck up. I'm fucked if my phones dead !
