Sports bras

I do a lot of fairly active sports, running, gymnastics and trampolining. All of these require some fairly robust underpinnings... tonight, I have actually managed to completely snap a metal component of my sports bra!!!

Anyone else had an experience with something not quite fit for purpose of late?

My left boob has mysteriously burst through the lacy section of my bra today. It's a newish bra. I don't know why the left one is making this bid for freedom.

New bras don't seem to be able to withstand the rigour of active boobs!

The left boob has ripped through the lacey bit. I don't understand it. I had to go through the day at work feeling that it wasn't quite right.

I find it really difficult wrangling mine into my front zippered sports bra. Doing it up takes ages but once it's on it's quite comfy.

I don't like sports bras with metal underwire. It makes my boobs look nicer but the bras never work quite as well as those without.

Maybe it's just cuz my boobs are tiny, though.

Also not a fan of the underwired sports bra, this was one of the fastenings at the back!!! Literally snapped a metal hook and deformed the metal ring on the other side that it hooked into!!!

I find I'm more jiggly/wobbly in a front fastener... I honestly can't remember the last time I bought a bra in M&S, I can't get on with their cup shape.

The two I bought literally strap me down. I gave up wearing a bra on a day to day basis about a year ago. That made me very happy. I walk home from work every night (about three miles) and don't bother with a bra but for any sort of sporting activity I really need support.

I use zip up the front sports bras, I wear them for rugby, gym. Never had any issues with the bra they are quite comfy

I wish I had your confidence!! I don't think I could go out unsupported.... (autocarrot wanted that to say unsupervised, probably true!)

I normally wear shock absorbers and they're good for trampolining and running, but had this one recommended by someone similarly booby as a good alternative. Bit miffed! May have to pop in and give M&S a go again.

I'm lucky that gravity has been kind and they're still where they're supposed to be. No-one has ever noticed I'm not wearing a bra... well not that they're likely to say anything but the people I've told always seem surprised.

I struggle with sports bras. I can't get one big enough, I always end up with one a cup size too small. Even bravissimo can't get one to fit me properly. I do manage with what I get but they never last long, about 6-8 weeks at most.

I've started just wearing a normal bra. Its not worth paying nearly £50 for something that doesn't do what its meant to.

Enell is a really good sports bra brand they are quite expensive (just under £50) & ugly, they look like something from the 40s I'm a GG and run a marathon in one, nothing moves

They are well worth the money

The wires in my bra's always pop out sooner or later. So annoying cos they ain't cheap either

I knoowwww, so annoying!!! Even if I wash mine in a lingerie bag on delicate (because fuckoff am I washing my bras by hand)... it's worse when they pop out middle of the day and through the central gore... really awkward when you're having a normal day and then
