Alphonse Mouzon died 25 December 2016. People of a certain age and with older siblings (in my case older brother) were beaten to death by his jazz funk dance stormer. From the days of the 10 minute plus dance floor track his album By All MEANS and single (weighing in at 14 minutes) of the same name was huge at one time. Anyone who likes jazz would acknowledge any album with Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Ritenour and Paul Jackson Jnr is going to be something. Not music for your rock, indie or pop sensibility but if you liked jazz funk and dance, then its a piece of dance floor heaven.
