Is it just me apart from those who just cam or forum if yoi cant accommodate or travel what do you do??? Do you beam there like in star trek ?? My lord im so confused lmao

Hotel.

Travel with work.

Doesn't like to give the expectation that they will let you come round at short notice.

Doesn't like to make it seem that you can stay overnight.

Happy to travel in local area, but not outside the area.

Doesn't drive, so can travel locally but needs a taxi or public transport.

Etc

I won't accom....I have kids and grand kid here

I can't travel far.... I use public transport so only meet very local.if you tick can travel some people think you can travel miles away . Not possible for me

I use it as a filter; folk who cannot fathom out such a simple concept are not likely to be able to engage me in a conversation anyway, so no point in explaining. Gravity is another simple concept I don't explain

Can accom would ideally mean the same to everyone but doesn't atm. It would include meeting in a hotel or home etc.

Similarly, 'can travel' would mean that they'd leave their home somehow, in order to meet outside of it. But it wouldn't indicate willingness for round the world blockbuster journeys. If someone walks, takes the bus, metro, cycles, drives etc then it would be reasonable to assess that for the 'can travel' option.

It could be helpful to have an indication of likely traveling distance set and displayed with the travel option set as positive. Eg, either miles or from a range of 'immediate vicinity', 'about 20 miles', 'open to longer distance travel' etc. None of these options are binding of course, as is even agreeing to meet, just because someone is looking. But setting travel and accom options to 'no', when you're open to meeting - rather than in a period of not meeting others - seems confusing to many and counterproductive.
