I've recently bought a box, seems to work fine for movies, in fact great for movies..

I've not really experimented with other features as it's quite complicated..

I bought an extra double sided remote: that I would really recommend as it makes life a lot easier... qwerty keyboard on 1 side, other features on the other.. A must buy IMO.

I have an android box which is really slow and sluggish, I've just put kodi on my fire tv box and it great. Much faster than the android box.

If you bought a cheap Kodi box, its probably a dual core, with a smaller amount of memory. For best performance you need a quad core unit (preferably wired into your router to minimise wifi isuues and bottle necks from all your other wifi stuff)

Nvida sheild is currently the best (plus 4k support) but theres a new model comming out aoon so that should mean a price drop.

It's the Nvidia Shield.

Mine has...

Kodi and SPMC, both using Retromania.

RetroboxTV for my retro games.

Plex, for streaming stuff I legally own

Steam's Gamelink will be added in an update.

If you own a PC with a compatible Nvidia graphics card, you can stream games as well.

Another update will add Google Assistant that you can talk to hands free using the games controller.... Or buy the Spot.

It is hands down, the best streaming box out there.

We have an old mx 2 box, works fine.

We also have a fire stick, only got it because they was on offer at half price.

Do a google search and you will find the details to install it all yourself.

Buy a WiFi range extender around £25 then get a android box off ebay around £25 UK seller and only £17.50 from China but it will take a few weeks to arrive on the latter option.....then you are sorted with all the latest box sets...movies and sport you can eat with no monthly costs.

Make sure you get a powerline extender whereby it runs with a transmitter from your router to a receiver hotshot plug close to where your putting the box....BT ones are good and around £25 is x

I use SPMC, Kodi's lesser known cousin, as there's issues with Kodi 17 and streaming. With, again, the Retromania build and SmashIPTV, and have zero issues.

On the live sports on kodi....you will always get some good links and some bad ones....there is no guaranteed links but I vary from sports devil and zem tv

The latter you will find mama HD which is good when it has a link.

Ive found that there's a direct correlation between the amount of ways of watching media increasing and the amount of media worth watching decreasing!.
