How come the number of people who looked at you in a day can go down. For example I have 42 people looked at me at 4pm and it goes down to 40 people by 6pm the same day. Confused .......

Not in the last calendar day in your timezone (which is different for people logged in from different parts of the world).

Also some block if not interested to save you showing on their searches & to save the "Hi noticed you looked at me" messages

So they look, you see 42, then they block & dissapear.

most likely due to the amount of fakes on here they get caught out and delete there account,or are cheats and have to delete encase they get found out by the other half

Well that's good, because that's how it would work. Load page and a quick query:

SELECT COUNT (DISTINCT userid)

FROM tb_profileviews

WHERE userid=youruserid

AND DATEDIFF(HOUR,viewtime,GETDATE())24
