I've followed England home and away for last 20 years, he'll be remembered well and he was a true gentleman

Oh no, and he'd have felt safe knowing 2016 was gone. Hope it's not another year like last

Brilliant for Watford and Lincoln, didn't cut the mustard at the top level, played players out of position at Euro 92(not another England manager!!), ended linekers England career on a sour note, and had the embarrassment of conceding to San Marino, I'll never remember him with much affinity. I was at all his England games(except Spain away92) and he got dogs abuse, especially in Bologna(san marino93), just a F.A yes man.

Wow I can't believe you just said that , the press gave him a hard time like they do to most England managers

I'm not going to lie, I'm just telling you my experiences of going to euro 92, playing Batty at right back and Palmer as a sweeper then the 1994 world cup qualifiers where in Bologna I've never seen a manager get so much abuse, especially when San Marino scored. I never missed an England game from 1992-2003 so I'm just giving you my opinion from what I saw/experienced, of course I remember the Watford days(brilliant) but I am an England fan and I remember it was the worst period to support England.

I always think that on a RIP thread if you have got anything nice to say it's better to say nothing at all
