Say thank you , they reply starting a conversation you then have to say your not interested (some women have 100s of messages and this would double message replies required )

Say thanks but not interested in one message woman gets called names and told she's up her own arse as the sender never asked to meet etc

I try to reply to all mail. Should I tell men to get a fucking life when they ask to meet after I thank them? Or if they haven't read my profile and still message, even though they don't accommodate or live miles away?

I only reply to compliments if there's a face pic attached. I only want to chat with people that I am potentially interested in meeting.

I get several messages that give me a compliment, followed by "I have pics if you are interested", no I like talking to the invisible man, how am I meant to know if I'm interested when I haven't even seen a pic? Attach one with the initial message, if you want to find out if someone is interested, will make things a lot easier.

I reply to all messages with a face pic attached, I've had a few abusive messages back which I turn a blind eye to, luckily I don't believe all men will have the same attitude so it doesn't prevent me from carrying on replying, however it can be up to 4 days later.

I often get messages from men who say they are straight on their profile but tell me they are bisexual. Apparently they write straight on their profile to stop men they're not interested from messaging them.

So I often make the comment that perhaps I should change my profile to say that I'm gay to stop all the unsuitable men from messaging me...

That usually stumps them a bit.

If I send someone a compliment then I don't expect a reply. After all, it is just a compliment. If, however, I sent a compliment as a lure to further conversation then a lack of resppnse would mean they'd seen through my cunning plan. It's not cynicism, I'm speaking from experience. When I get a complimentary message, I have to think about how to answer, just in case I hurt the feelings of the person who sent it. It's not a case of saying thank you and there's an end, usually.

How do women know which complimentary messages have no ulterior motive attached and which ones do?

Answer - they don't .... so, if they're inundated with messages, chances are that even the apparently complimentary ones will get deleted if they're not interested in the sender, because, quite frankly, they literally don't have the time to respond.

And yes - many so-called compliments are generic, could, in theory have been sent to anyone and when you suspect that, suddenly don't seem quite so flattering ...

I appreciate compliments when I get them but have learnt the hard way that if I reply with thanks, at least 90% of senders take that as a green light to try and start chatting and, if I then make it clear I don't want to take things further, an unacceptable number of those then turn nasty. Funnily enough, I don't want to put myself through that ... not only is the whole pointless (if I'm not attracted) process consuming yet more time (for both parties), it's actually pretty unpleasant to be called all sorts of derogatory names or have nasty, even sick, fates wished upon you.

Whatever the content of the message this really does boil down to *everyone's* right to ignore and/or delete whichever messages they see fit - as per Fab rules. No one is entitled to a reply here - I've had messages ignored before, have had people with whom I'd had a long ongoing correspondence suddenly go UNLOS without a word - but such is the risk you take ... you never know what's going on in someone's real life and just have to accept it.

One thing's for sure though - people who display a sense of entitlement, who make sweeping generalisations about a whole group of people, who repeatedly put up negative posts and/or who are rude to other posters will invariably be damaging their Fab experience still further as there are a great many users - myself included - who use their contributions to the forum as a further filter.

I do try to respond to messages that have had some thought put into them with a face pic attached.

But I'm guilty of deleting messages that say "hi" or "nice tits"; one liners with no info and if you look at their profile there is zero info there!

As we are outnumbered, yes we probably do appear to control things but please consider, we can't answer nor meet everyone!

I guess it can be frustrating for men at times but just try to be patient, as getting angry achieves nothing.

I thank complimentary messages. Every single one has then gone on to ask to meet. They don't compliment out of politeness.

Some do. I have given lots of compliments without asking or wishing to meet. That said I've not been blocked for giving them either.

That said I understand the cynicism entirely

I haven't received one from you though

Obviously, if I like the look of the sender I'll compliment him back, hoping for a fuck

Perhaps cynicism was the wrong word in your case, what I meant is I understand the general cynicism about compliments as they are two a penny on here and often taken with a pinch of salt.

Maybe as she was miles away and no chance of it going anywhere THATS why she never wasted time entering in to a pointless e mail exchange ?? As a female I can also assure you we are damned if we reply and damned if we don't !!

If we reply then must be looking to meet them If not we are up ourselves and have ego issues !! Let alone complaints about not responding quick enough !!God forbid we read a mail and then have to go and actually do normal life stuff ... we should reply instantly !!

I had a mail just yesterday looking to chat .I replied that they weren't what I was after . I got back a thanks for replying ,which I then just deleted .I revived mail straight away blasting me as fecking rude for deleting it!! Even when we do reply thats STILL not good enough . Maybe walk a mile in my heels op and you'll see exactly why some choose not to open any can of worms by replying .

where in my post do i say that....? no where .

lets look at this like adults moaning about things out of ones control I.E the actions or in this case non actions of a random individual is a waste of time for the simple reason that one is getting upset about something one has no control over .

why because one has invested emotions into ones search and allowed ones search to become a stick by which ones measures ones self esteem and started to rant about non actions because one is upset by a non action .

madness in my opinion best take a brake go out with ones true friends who's actions matter then return refreshed and in a more light hearted life loving mood .

happy people are more attractive than unhappy ones that's a fact one can not argue with if your unhappy with the actions of random strangers to the point where your allowing it to effect your nature vibe best to walk away until such times as such actions non longer effect you in that way .
