what's your guilty secret song

Dear Fabbers , Friends and Forumites.

What a splendid evening. I am not long home from work. I had a splendid day thank you. Heaps of fun with some.jolly customers ans chums.

On my way home I stopped along the sea shore. The clouds clearing , the moon peeking through. The sea illuminated by the lunar glow. The sky scattered with stars. It's odd to think that the light from those stars has travelled billions of miles. Some.of them now long extinguished, true ghosts in the sky.

Whilst sitting there a song came on my mix cd

Let It Go , from the film.Frozen a song I adore . Music is all a personal preference.

So chums what song do you love that some may consider a tad naff?

Your guilty secret song.

Taff & Pooch

There and to the left a bit

There are a few..

Shake It Off - Taylor Swift

The Promise - Girls Aloud

..are the two that spring immediately to mind that you wouldn't normally associate with a 51 year old fan of punk/rock/ska etc

Am I allowed an artist rather than a single song?

Aqua.

I slip the odd song from Aquarius or Aquarium in amongst my Mindless Self Indulgence and Jack Off Jill.

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight

Not a footprint to be seen

A kingdom of isolation,

And it looks like I'm the queen.

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside

Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried!

Don't let them in, don't let them see

Be the good girl you always have to be

Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know

Well, now they know!

Let it go, let it go

Can't hold it back anymore

Let it go, let it go

Turn away and slam the door!

I don't care

What they're going to say

Let the storm rage on,

The cold never bothered me anyway!

It's funny how some distance

Makes everything seem small

And the fears that once controlled me

Can't get to me at all!

It's time to see what I can do

To test the limits and break through

No right, no wrong, no rules for me I'm free!

Let it go, let it go

I am one with the wind and sky

Let it go, let it go

You'll never see me cry!

Here I stand

And here I'll stay

Let the storm rage on!

My power flurries through the air into the ground

My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around

And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast

I'm never going back,

The past is in the past!

Let it go, let it go

And I'll rise like the break of dawn

Let it go, let it go

That perfect girl is gone!

Here I stand

In the light of day

Let the storm rage on,

The cold never bothered me anyway

Have a younger sister who loved all that nonsense.

And a stupid brain that soaks up song lyrics with ease.

I hadn't better try and shake it off. The vibrations would trigger tsunami, earthquakes, and the end of time.

Just listening to some of the covers from Madilyn Bailey - they are generally stripped back to her voice and a piano and are beautiful. She has added layers to songs that were out previously.

She has a similar sort of voice to Sarah McLachlan.

Thats one I'm gonna have to google*, seen the film a few times but years ago and might need a refresher.

I've just remembered a valentines date taking a nice young lady to see 'Hannibal'. Very enjoyable night

(*Despite the warnings not to google things mentioned on fab)
