Can't remember the exact mileage but I've gone from Wolverhampton to Barnstaple in North Devon, was totally worth it, just for the great views of the beach from his house. Never mind the rest

I travel with work.

If it wasn't for that I'd be happy to travel for someone special if I could make a trip out of it.

546 miles each way is my most frequent one. But I've done Cheshire to Milan a couple of times so that's my furthest. I had met these people previously though.

Why don't you plan meets around the areas you have to go to work at?

Live in Scotland Play in England

Probably the furthest we have traveled for a meet is over 600 miles. But then again, we always always travel to play as we won't play locally at all.

We've since switched playgrounds for one which saves a couple of hours driving each way. Time is precious after all!

I only meet locally now unless I'm travelling somewhere for work anyway. Being stood up miles from home taught me that lesson!

"I travel with work.

To be honest that's why I don't mind travelling to see someone. For the last 20 years or so I've been driving hours in all directions for a meeting or two.

So someone 2-3 hours away is just round the corner for me.

Sorry, badly worded. I do meet occasionally when I travel to London with work. But I was discounting that as traveling to meet someone.

Because I already travel with work I haven't had to travel to meet people outside of Newcastle.

If I didn't travel with work I'd be happy to make a joint meet/trip/weekend-away journey.

London and France

London is 1000 km, Rome 1300, Berlin is 1600.

Paris is 600.

EasyJet and high speed trains make it quick and cheap.

Pretty much anywhere if the connection is right.

There's an lady on here I met in far far South Wales. Another down in Kent, one in central London.

If the connection is there and you know it's not a wind up what's a few miles between friends for some quality time spent?
