north wales is forecast for snow but where I am is sheltered by the Clwydian range so we hardly ever get snow of any significance...

its very windy here though, but I don't care as I'm not out in it

It is definitely colder here today in the south Wales valleys.

Our forecast is for 2 - 4cm of snow between 10am and 2pm tomorrow.

So I predict total mass panic; bread and milk will be on ration and Facebook will go into meltdown... pathetic really.

We have some weather warnings in place but it's the gales and wind that does it here. We're right next to the sea so the pier will be closed and will get all the foam coming off the waves and landing on your windscreen when you're driving, also had rocks and stuff coming off the waves. Said there's a small chance of snow but it has to really snow to stick here.

It has to snow really heavy and really fast for it to stick. The sea waves crash over the main road sometimes and the spray travels further, it puts salt over everything, your car and front windows in the house get crystals on them so yeah it's gotta snow heavy here for a layer to be left on the ground. In 2012 we had snow that was on the beach.

Road block... Brilliant idea! Tricky to man when they are still allowing cars over though. Perhaps a traffic police car monitoring for rogue lorry drivers and going for then right away

"I hope it does snow. I can't wait to get my fanny out and take a wintery photo.

Your fanny is already out "

Ah fuck. I must have missed it. That's the problem with it being black and white. Guess I'll do a colour vision in snow so I don't forget it is.

I can't work out what to wear tomorrow. The potential is for reasonably warm, freezing, rain and snow.

Bad weather always reinforces the fact to me, that I would make a rubbish partner...awful winds and gales up here, I slept though it! Previous horrendous storms, I slept through them...

"There's a rumour of a couple of snowflakes hitting the A50 near Casa de Naughty, the shelves in Tesco are empty.

Oh god I need some sugar its salt you need for snow and ice not sugar xxxx"

Actually sugar works just as well, some say even better than salt at stopping water freezing. Problem is it dries a lot more sticky than salt does.

There will be a severe storm surge tonight at the coasts and they are evacuating those living close to the sea.

1 mm of a dusting of snow and 80 flights get cancelled from Heathrow. I can understand if it was 1 meter of snow, but 1 mm???

Shag my little haribo lover!!

I'm in one of those effected areas I found out from a friend in Norfolk about my area. Found out from sky news last night I'm on evacuation notice see lots of forces lads today with cops and coast guards and I'm still at home.

It's not half as bad as they thought it might be so it's been a slight over kill.

Tonight was the highest tide and tomorrow morning luckily the wind was east tonight should it turn west by morning we might have a little problem but not the scale they said.

Although quite gutted the squaddies didn't knock my door

"1 mm of a dusting of snow and 80 flights get cancelled from Heathrow. I can understand if it was 1 meter of snow, but 1 mm???"

There's a new agreement where rather than waiting for weather to ground flights and being stuck with an airport full of annoyed people , when bad weather is forecast they work out how much this would lower the take off rate etc . They then cancel flights in advance based on this to allow people to make alternative arrangements in advance such as book a spare seat on the next flight

That is good, so you kind of know when it would happen with the tie in the morning, it will be ok I reckon as well.

I am glad that this 'new arrangement' is not the norm in Germany otherwise there won't be any flights taking off anywhere there for the next couple of months
