Contacting couple to ask female to play solo?

I see a lot of couples profiles that have a statement saying 'don't ask to play solo with just female half'. Surely the reason a man looks at a couple profile is because he wants to play with a 'couple' and not just the female? Do single men actually ask this question?

Yes, because couples ask for it not to happen.

Yes people have asked me to 'play' on my own in my experience it has been couples asking not single men.
