Vaping for a beginner ?

Some where in West Sussex

Being a smoker its something that I have been thinking about for a very long time as I know I should really swop over how ever I don't know where to start or go lol So I'm looking for some advice as a newbie.

I was given a disposable one a couple of months ago as a freebie which although I got on fine with it I found it tasted disgusting which kinda put me off but seeing all the flavours you can get I just keep thinking its about time etc just a shame they don't do pussy flavour lol

I know that the best place to start is with a starter kit but which one ? I have seen in a well known discount store a starter kit made by 88vape and they also sell spare parts such as clearomizers, disposable batteries and the juice itself.

Has any one had any experience with 88vape products ? Are they any good ? I'm thinking about these ones as the parts etc are easy to come by as the store (s) do seem to have them in stock a lot. I don't really want to buy one from say Echo Bay only to find the parts etc are a nightmare to get hold of lol Or perhaps you use another product that is just as good and easy to get hold of.

So any advice will be great fully received with many thanks

can i just post to read anything people put as i have tried a couple of vape things but seem to choke on them. taste seemed ok to me though.

Essex.

So far all the people I work with who smoke and gone on to vaping have failed.

They start with good intentions but then end up going out to smoke and vaping indoors.

So in the end vaping is just something to do between fag breaks...

Good luck if you are trying to give up but I would try something different...

I agree, I gave up 8 years ago and found it easier to gradually reduce and then stop...well it worked for me

I vape. Have done for a couple of years now and not had a cig since I started. They are different to cigarettes so it takes a couple of days to get used to.

My top three tips.

3) start small. Any half decent ego pen style ecig will do to start. You can then spend a bit more money on something like a sub ohm variable voltage thing once you've kicked the real cigs if you really want.

2) don't get a Tabbaco flavour eliquid. It's not the taste you like. Trust me! Fruity or menthol tend to be the best.

1) don't get attracted by shiny things or you'll end up spending as much on those as you did the coffin nails!

Personally as a starter I think it would be best to go with a kit up to 50w. Some kangertech or smok set ups are good and cheap.

Vaping takes a few days to get used to so persevere for a while if it carries on being harsh on the throat after say a week or so, it might help to lower the nicotine level as that can help a lot.

any decent vape shop will be able to give you too advice as to what will suit you best so just pop into your local 1 and have a chat with them I have found a lot that they have tasters set up so you can try a lot of the juices before you buy them.

And yeah I get the feeling tabbaco flavor isn't the way to go.

Good idea there is a shop near me but always felt a bit embarrished about going in as a newbie lol

Don't be embarrassed the first time I've gone in I brought the basic of basics got it out fired it up took 1 drag and chocked like I was sucking a 20" cock lol everybody laughed but hey fuck it, it don't matter!!! In my experience I've found them all to be very helpful and friendly

Your local vape shop is the way to go, if it's anything like the one near me they'll listen to what you want to achieve, give good practical advice and recommend the best kit to get you started.

The one I got cost me £20, and is still going strong 8 months later.

I'd tried, and failed, to give up numerous times before using gum, cold turkey etc. but vaping really has proved it's worth. I know it's swapping one habit for another but it's succeeded where other quitting methods have failed. Will work on quitting vaping as the next step.

It all depends on how much you smoke now, if it's upto 15 a day i would say your basic pen style set up with 11mg liquid or higher if needed will do the trick. If it's more i would suggest a variable voltage battery.

The boxes tend to work better because you get better battery life and with the screen you can see how much battery life you have left, sadly with the pens they tend to just run out all of a sudden which in turns pushes you back to the stinkies!

Theres new things coming out all the time with vaping but most of the new kit is designed for throwing huge clouds which is not what you want to start with for giving up smoking, they are more for people who enjoy vaping and the flavours.

Best bet like others have said is to pop into your local shop and have an ask, if you end up getting a pen style juat make sure you dont use a phone charging plug with it, most are far to overpowered and run the risk of damaging the battery or over charging.

Thanks to everyone for the input and advice

Its just as I thought go with a basic starter kit and then upgrade if I get on with it.

And going to my local vape shop is a great idea after all if I can meet people from here I'm sure I can put my embarrassment to one side lol

I found the 1st 2 weeks pretty tough but after that it was alot easier. The smoking ban helped too

i've given up for 18 months once and the craving was always there. might try the vape things though and see if they help.

I've been using the cheap and cheerful 88vape since may last year without a single lapse. I'm thinking of maybe now upgrading a little to their mod kit. I do mix their liquids with others though as I find them a little harsh.

My advice is to start off with a cheap system till you know it will work for you..No point spending loads to decide after 2 days or less you can't get on with it. Best of luck.

I got the 888vape kit for my cbd oil and it's good for the money. The tip snaped off mine after 2ish months but at a quid for a replacement it's ideal.

I gave up smoking 15 years ago n vape for pain management only. Cbd oil contains no nicotine and it's none adictive. xxx

If i were you id defnitely go into a vape shop, i have mostly vg carrier with no nicotine, just the flavours, if i have the pg carrier mixed and/or nicotine i cough like ive been on 100 per day. All vape shops are there to help a beginner and if they have testers had a go at a few and see what suits you best. If you explain what set up you have bought they can tell you which vapours work best with them.
