Fake verification

What the hell, just noticed that I had a verification 2 hours ago, looked at it and it's off a guy that had messaged me 7 times in the last 24 hours. I've never met him before in my life. Why would someone verify someone (who is already verified) when you've never met them? Next question, is there a way to remove it from my summary cos I'm speaking to a guy at the moment and don't want him thinking I met someone today or even recently. If I block that person will it dissapear from my summary?

Don't think it can be removed off the summary, even if they left the site the count is still there, just don't display it, strange behaviour though, unless he's trying to woo himself on to you in other ways if the messages aren't working?

Agh I had this and got into trouble when it popped up. It's not fair.

You should have to accept them before they come through to stop this.

This is the type of thing to speak directly to admin about, as it's discussion of others which potentially identifies them/naming and shaming indirectly.

Not really because I haven't displayed his verification so there's no way of knowing his username. It's the summary I want to get rid of. Anyway I've reported to admin so hopefully will come off.

Don't think the OP should worry too much about the summary showing an additional veri though. I've had people verify me weeks (sometimes months) after a meet.

I had that once where someone was trying to get my attention..I wasn't interested so he goes and leaves a verification in the vain hope I would change my mind...

I didn't, I blocked him and hey presto, it disappeared

I've blocked but the summary still shows that someone verified me a few hours ago. I've hidden the summary now.

I just hid my sumerry for the same reason. Had a guy veri me cos id wanked with him on kik. I reported it but it wasn't ever removed from my summery. Xxx
