The lanes in Brighton

We once sat and 'people watched' near some of the London dungeon guides as they had their lunch sitting on the riverside.

The looks on some of the passers by's faces was priceless

bristol motor speedway Usa.

nothing on earth like it.

.533 of a mile.

massive amounts of banking.

160,000 + people all seated around the track giving full view of the racing.

the noise, the speed and the thrill of watching 43 cars bumping and crashing at night for 500 miles.

you got to experience it to believe it.

just an amazing place.

if you want to see a race abroad get tickets for the night race in august.

"

"

You appear confused, right?

Withernsea is on the East Coast past Hull. Follow M62/A63 to Hull, then take the A1033 from there.

A nice little seaside town, long beach.

Two places come to mind.

1. Stopping at the side of the main road on the top of the hill overlooking Uig and the bay, on the Isle of Skye.

I'll get back to Buxton one day. The first and last time I was there, I ended up in Hospital within two hours of arrival, was kept in overnight and left for home the next day.

What I saw out of ambulance windows looked great!

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. I'm looking forward to the new Transport Museum at Riverside. Both in Glasgow.

Outside Glasgow? Edinburgh Castle. Tell them you're going to the Scottish National War Memorial and they have to let you in for free

Outwith the central belt?

Iona. No words can do it justice so I won't try.

The Tail o' the Bank, even at sea level is a joyous sight - providing you're homeward bound but we shouldn't forget that for many thousands it was their last glimpse of Scotland.

Our brightest and our best sailing off to assorted parts of the Empire and beyond, sometimes to govern and administer, sometimes to police, educate, heal or preach - to build, survey or farm, but sometimes to bomb, maim, kill or die.
