Getting back into shape

Ok, so the festive season has passed, and it's the time of year when we notice that needle on the scales goes round a bit further than it used to, so lots of us make plans to get back into shape again. So how's it going? I've taken on the 'get lean in 28 days' home circuits from Men's Fitness magazine, also adding in some jogging around our village (done 10k this morning)

I just biked to tesco and back, only because my car has been written off, otherwise I would have driven. I am unintentionally getting fitter due to my no car situation.

Drawing the positive from a negative situation is excellent news! And, you may come to enjoy the cycling!

I do enjoy and I do it often, I just like having the option of car or bike, today I would have chosen car but as I didn't have it I cycled.

Eat well....move.....reduce added sugar...quit the booze

Doing all of that will lose the lbs

You'll be slim and depressed by March

Any exercise is all good stuff but really don't get hung up about it.

New research suggests that exercise/diet early in the new year may not be quite as useful as one thinks and one article even suggests leaving it until February/March.

It really is this simple: exercise more, eat less. Get fit, feel good.

Just back to the gym. Only been once so far this year. Drinking has gotten in the way.

I'm back on my cut phase..although today was a poor effort due to feeling unwell and fatigued. Carbs were needed to fuel my day as I spent a lot of it training.

Otherwise, I love cutting body fat as it helps me stay on top of how much I'm eating so I don't undereat or over eat.
