Messaging people who live miles away

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

This may sound a bit "white knight-y" but I often message ladies who live very far away, just to let them know I think their pics are awesome. I like to spread a little positivity, with no underlying expectations of anything more. I know how good a compliment makes me feel, so it's nice to know I might have made someone smile by saying something nice about them. Sometimes this leads to chatting and becoming fab friends, which is better than not communicating with others here as far as I'm concerned!

Anyone else message others to show appreciation, if if you know they're too far away to realistically meet?

Yeh maybe. But realistically, distance is always going to fuck things up isn't it.

Just fab the photo. Isn't that enough, isn't that what the fan button is for?

I do the same, don't worry OP. Especially nice lingerie or makeup that catches my eye.

Maybe it's different coming from a male?

It depends what you are here for. If your only goal is shagging, then yes it might seem pointless.

Personally I feel that the social element of this site allows for more. From a brief "thought your photo looked really great", to lengthy chats on whatsapp etc.

All are possible, all are nice, everyone chooses their own level if engagement. But being nice never hurts anyone!

Yup - if someone looks amazing I tell them. I also do it in the forums. The world needs more love

I am a white knight, guilty as charged. I can't help myself, I'm very empathic, so much so it can often get in the way when I just want kinky fuckery

I have messaged some men who live over 200 miles away solely because I've loved their profiles and/or photos. I never expect to meet these guys, and tell them that in my message, but just felt it was good to tell them that their profile was awesome, they made me smile and to keep on being themselves.

Yep. I do it. If I see something that really catches my eye and I think it's fab I do like to take the effort to say so.

Distance is irrelevant in that circumstance.

Phwoar deserves comment.

Yes I do exactly the same..The compliments I send are genuine and I usually point out I'm not looking to meet or no reply needed. I just hope it makes people smile.

On occasion it has lead to nice chats and meeting also..Even though they are out of normal range.

I've often (and still currently) chat to a few whom I've met on the forum. I know there's little chance we will meet in person, but I enjoy the social side so I see no harm in having a conversation.

Exactly my thoughts. While I'm here primarily to meet people, it's also nice to have friends you can chat to about Fab outside of the site and forum. And like others have said, it could also possibly lead to more down the line.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

It would be wasted on me (not that it ever happens). I use distance as a filter and would probably ignore any message, complimentary or otherwise, that came from a location I would not or cannot get to.

Personally I don't have an issue with distance.

However it does depend how you deal with it, if someone catches my eye then I will give them a compliment, but I will also make it clear that I am not hitting on them nor asking for a meet as they are miles away, some will reply back some will not, either way I don't start up a convo.

'A sexually motivated exchange'. Thanks Sox, you've nailed it for me. When I get a compliment, I always say thanks and it invariably leads to a limp response. In future, I'll just ask if it's a sexually motivated exchange. Sorted!

"To many ignorant people on here now, nobody wants to chat, some cannot even say thanks to a complimenty wink."

In all my years here, I've never looked at who has winked and if I did, I wouldn't be saying thanks to every one. That's not ignorance. I also don't 'chat'.

If we are interested in each other, we have a social, not endless, online chat that attempts to be wank fodder for the bloke.

"To many ignorant people on here now, nobody wants to chat, some cannot even say thanks to a complimenty wink."

Trouble is in our opinion outside of single females the whole site is dominated by males, be they singular, in couples or otherwise. So despite what our profile says couples will wink or friend request us. Tbh if it doesn't openly say on their profile that the female plays alone we won't respond as 99% of times it turns out they don't when asked so we say on our profile "Play alone? Tell us".

But then most don't bloody read them anyway (see male point above) which is why we get contacted by most (not all) of them.

"To many ignorant people on here now, nobody wants to chat, some cannot even say thanks to a complimenty wink."

If I replied thanks to every wink I received I could be sending 30+ messages a day (most winks are from people that are not local enough to me) and to be honest I prefer to reply to people that have made the effort to send a well written message even if it's a thanks but no thanks to them, time permitting.

A compliment on here is as much use as a kick in the cunt.

Messages from guys far far away is just annoying, especially if they're handsome with big willys, just makes you want something you can't have, or you could have but it would be a ball ache and effort.

Many individuals I've gotten to know have been through either the chat rooms or the forums. But, not many of my meets have been with people from the London itself. I like to travel and if I know I get along with someone and there's a likelihood we'll meet - distance isn't an issue.

However, I've not really sent out messages just to give compliments to people who live ages away. I don't see the point of that. Not something I would do anyway unless it's me trying to get to know them a bit better and see how things go.
