Being a slight bit of a nut....I often tune in to rich halls shows on YouTube.

His latest one is a very interesting documentary with a peter hyatt looking at the mcanns interviews with the media (at this point I will declare, they put my hackles up every time I've seen them).

Anyhow if you haven't watched it, it's very very interesting and available on YouTube

Oh I should have also said.

If you have seen it, what do you think of the science behind Peter hyatts examination.

Is there anything to this cognitive dissonance where apparently if you're lying your brain gives you away by being stopped in full flow?.

.

I must admit it got me thinking

I've never understood the hatred they seem to inspire in people. If they were working class salt of the earth types who'd done the appropriate amount of public wailing they wouldn't have been subject to the same public evisceration.

So I won't bother

Oh god don't get me started on them. Guilty as sin and being protected by the government.

Oh I don't hate them, the only way I could describe my feelings toward them is like a dog's hackles, a sense of mistrust and apprehension!.

.

.

I don't buy into this salt of the earth/ middleclass stuff either,I don't see why it has anything to do with it

It shouldn't. But a lot of the criticism I see lobbed at them seems to relate to them being doctors, having money, etc etc. Compare and contrast with something like Ben Needham.

I think a lot of the mistrust is based on the fact they left their children on their own in a foreign country while they were enjoying themselves!

I'm more interested in this Peter Hyatt and his statement analysis work!.

Is it possible to hide a lie or does your brain give you away secretly.

I like Richard hall, he's a bit out there but generally does great interesting stuff, although he does seem to have a bee in his bonnet over the mcanns

Is this what I pick up on subconsciously when my hackles go up?.

Now I've often considered it a natural talent I have to pick up on stuff but is it possible to be naturally talented at something that can only be trained into you(according to mr hyatt)?.

Thank you for sharing.

A very interesting watch which confirmed some of my previous thoughts on this case. Food for thought. Thanks again

I can't say I know an awful lot apart from what I know from the media. As a mother I think they made the most stupid mistake any parent can ever do and for which they will pay for the the worst possible way for the rest of their lives. I know if I lost my child I don't think I could go on everyday not knowing where she was so my initial anger and disbelief in their stupidity is now replaced with pity and sorrow. As I said all I know is what I read/heard so out of curiosity why is the government supposed to have covered up something for them?

I don't really know where that stems from, I think it had something to do with links between the mcanns and Gordon brown but I'm not entirely sure!.

There certainly was high level intervention between the UK and Portuguese authorities on the investigation though, that's well documented
