It's one of the reasons I suggest to everyone you have a profile that creates interest.

I'd suggest ladies should be proactive after all they know what they're looking for, guys interpret their profile text and might misinterpret it.

Because there's too many to look through, to find one that I think yeah I'll message him. I have actually messaged a few first though, but that's mainly through face pics in my local updates, forums or chatrooms. However, I only nprmally do this when I have my filters on otherwise if he messages back it'll probably get lost among the other messages.

Most of the time when I message first I get no reply.....or if they do reply then a lot of times the conversation is like pulling teeth with lots of one word/sentence responses.

I'll answer their questions then ask them a question which will be completely ignored!

There are obviously too many guys willing to jump through hoops n blow smoke up womens arses just so they can get a fuck!

I actually find the statement contradictory, "Looking for a man" in the true sense entails doing the leg work, using the search function, spotting people via forums. Sifting through your inbox isn't looking, its choosing as everyone well knows.

A bit like wanting a piece of jewelry to wear, you can either get a piece you know you can have from a drawer or make the effort to go out and get a new piece.

I don't mind that. It's the thought of them assuming we are going to have sex, because I messaged them, that puts me off.

Also what puts me off are no face pics, I have to be attracted to men and that includes their face. So I don't want to message and then receive a face pic and say oh no thanks. It may seem like double standards as I don't have any on my profile, but it would appear not many men are bothered about a woman's face, so they can message me all they like.

I disagree, I need to see a face pic too otherwise I might not be attracted either.

That'd be the reason I didn't say "all men". Men message calling me gorgeous, stunning, beautiful, pretty, sexy etc; you'd think that'd apply to my face too, but they can't see it and many are also asking for a meet, wanting me to go fuck them now and whatever other messages you can imagine that don't imply they are bothered about seeing a face.
