Whilst I pause for a minute to think of you wiggling everything . . . . . . .

*ahem *

Did you reboot the computer or the router?

Is it a Wi-fi connection or direct port to a modem?

I'd hand you a hankie, but honestly, you don't want one of mine

I'll have you know that wiggling boobs can be a very serious matter indeed

right, so web dongle thingy . . . you'll be on mobile broadband then? Hmmmm

First off you could try an online speed test and see if that's the problem.

Or, check the performance level that your machine is running at - look in the task manager.

Or run a spyware program and see if there's anything clogging up your system.

Or quit downloading so much porn (whaddya mean that's just me?!)

Or start knocking off a computer repair bloke

try the simple things first - clear out all your history memory and cookies and cache memory then reboot, nearly always does the trick for me

Think I've come across this problem before. It's usually to do with the poor grade of extension cord that's being run to the lamppost outside. Do the streetlamps flicker in sync with the clicking noises?

Alternatively, try running a registry cleaner and also check that the PC isn't first trying to boot from the DVD drive as a first option. Is there a disc in the drive when you're booting up?

Unilblue Registry Booster is good for that

Gets rid of all the Registry errors and it's approved by Microsoft .. if that counts for anything

"its not plugged into a street lamp?????? its plugged into a lead thing plug socket"

Then there's ya problem !

It needs to be connected into the street lamp - problem is that the current going through your lead plug thingy is too thick and cannot get through the cable

Sheeeesh ! Some folks know nowt

Good question. Can't be the forgetting thing cos it's written on my PJ's. Must be force of habit.

Always just seemed normal for me to sign off on any piece of written communication. . . but since each post is listed under my moniker anyway then it does seem redundant.

Good point, well made.
