"I find it funny that there might be people who use both websites... I would have thought both sites attracted polar opposite types of people... my understanding is that the Mumsnet "mafia" are as narrow minded and judgmental as they come. So following on from that, they'd see no issue with infiltrating the fab ranks. Privacy, discretion, and the right to one's own life choices aren't in the Mumsnet t's & c's " Hey - I use both sites - Mumsnet has a huge variety of forums and contrary to popular belief it's *not* all about potty training, knitting and whingeing about your child not getting into your preferred school. Being open minded sexually and having an interest in the rest of the world isn't mutually exclusive you know Admittedly, Mumsnet has been referred to as a 'nest of vipers' and, like any forum, there are undoubtedly horribly judgemental and bullying types on there, but largely speaking, the bigoted and ridiculous stuff usually gets shouted down. It can actually be an extremely supportive place, in all sorts of ways ... ... but like any large forum there are also a huge number of attention seeking fantasists. Time and again, compassionate users have given their time (sometimes their money) to the most genuine sounding of trolls .... and if for no other reason, I think it'd be very unwise to offer to go digging here on the basis of a thread from someone you know nothing about (no verifications on Mumsnet!) and who may have their own reasons for concocting such a tale. If it's true, why get involved in someone else's drama ? Having read that thread the woman concerned has already seen enough to be 99% certain she's been lied to and cheated on ... what she does next with that info is up to her - getting more info from a member here won't alter what she already knows. And, regardless of the opinions we each have about cheating, and our own personal situations, surely we all want to feel secure here and hope that other members won't abuse any info they can see about us ? (regardless of how we may or may not feel 'morally superior' to other Fabsters). It kind of goes against the grain to cast judgement on someone else IMO and supply potentially damaging info about them to a non-Fab third party - even if done with the best of intentions - because you just don't know what kind of damage doing that could cause .

"There's a thread on Mumsnet titled 'Swinging' (I came across it by accident - honest gov ) regarding a woman who has been tipped off that her husband has been cheating via a swinging website. A couple of people from this site have stated they are on here and given credence to the fact that there are many married men (and women) playing away on here. Fair enough, nothing so far has been said that's unreasonable or untrue. Some of the other posters have replied with shock/horror. Again not anything we haven't heard before. However, a couple of the posters that are also members here have offered to 'do some digging' on this site to aid the OP. Whatever your views on married men/women playing away I think that to try to expose someone on here as a member of this site is very wrong." Indeed. Discretion must go without saying. Fab is not for policing people's lives

"Hate cheaters...man or woman....but guess when your on any site your privacy is gone to some extent and these things will happen and no doubt some will be ousted as they deserve to be in my eyes as rhey just take away the option from the other half of the relationship to make a choice openly and honestly as to if they still want to be with that person that cheats on them....cheating takes that oportunity away from them..but I would never oust anybody." Hate is such a powerful word. The circumstances for each person will vary and as Jesus said let he who is without sin cast the first stone, at that point a big boulder dropped out of the sky and wiped out Mary magdelen to which Jesus turned his eyes towards the heavens and exclaimed sometime just sometimes dad you piss me right off?
