Atilla the Hun was the main cause for the dark ages. He was known as "the scourge of god" and he laid waste to most of Europe and wiped out the last of the roman empire and its armies.

History the WHORE of the victor!

Romans conquer most of world, but as there sanctioned by church, they were seen as heroes..

Atilla does same but isn't a follower of some modern upstart religion and is branded a tyrant :P

Gota hate how the church perverted so much history by simply not allowing the common man to write.. for ages it was even a sin for bible to be written in non lattin, just to make sure the normal folk couldn't actualt read it and question the priests on thier interpretation of what god wants :P

and as most of the scriptures were dumped as countermanding the original church doctrine for me makes it as religions as a Harry Potter novel.

however to each there own eh

Well bloody said!! got a friend training as a minister, she goes nuts, if I dare mention such things..

Especialy when I ask about where the small print saying "unless" is on "Though shalt not kill" as the church has commited some of the largest cases of genocide/mass murder and wars in history, making christianity the worlds number 1 sereal killer :P

" making Christianity the worlds number 1 cereal killer :P"

There are extremists and nutters of all persuations...

Religion isn't the killer.. Its often the cause! Rather more like people use things as reasons and excuses..

facinates me how all 3 major religions came from Abraham (not a son or relative of any god) and migrated to suit the needs of the church leaders at the time and only varying in extremism ..best summed up by Life of Brian .....he has left us a sign ...follow the shoe ...no .....follow the holy gourd .......pmsl
