Linden Hall used to be excellent but I see it's now part of a chain.

The Lord Crewe in both Bamburgh and Blanchland have been favourites for some time although my family are officially banned sine die from Blanchland.

There's a restaurant somewhere around Rothbury in an old railway carriage. That's been good for me too.

The feathers at hedley on the hill is an award winning pub,all food locally sourced, very close to getting it's mitchlen star.

Slaley hall is a good top end hotel, the england football team stayed there under sven for team building.

The Crab and Lobster in Asenby is very nice, all individual rooms and the food is excellent. The rooms in the annex all have their own hot tubs too!!

I scrolled down and was going to type the exact same place!

The Hotel is called Crab Manor just in case you can't find it.

I highly recommend it, I have spent some very interesting weekends there.
