So when your in the forums do you stay in here for the evening or do you go back and to replying to messages

Do you just reply to all your messages first then move to the forums

Do you just go in the forums and leave your messages till the next time

Only I've spent most of the evening nattering away and finally come in here ..but won't be for long ....so after all my waffling ..what do you lot do

I watch telly, read and post on threads, send the odd (some are decidedly weird) message and if a message comes through I reply to it if it's from a friend.

I log on to the forums in the hope of some meaty threads, but not much sadly. Then I do whatever I am doing, watching TV, reading, chatting, cooking whilst I come back and forward to the iPad. We rarely get messages, too many blocks, but I check up friends status updates and any messages .... a lot of flicking through until something catches my eye ...

I get message notifications on my phone so I usually have a look at who it's from, if it's an ongoing conversation or someone we know I'll probably check the message and come back. If not I tend to check it once I've finished browsing the forums (fora?)

I'm a bloke so dealing with my inbox takes on average all of three seconds a day. I haven't really been around the forums much these last few months (though that will change very soon I hope), so I haven't really been popping in here too often either. When I have been online it's just been to have a quick perve at some pics, maybe have a quick look in on the forums and then I've been off again.

If I have enough free time to check and join in with the forum then I will post in many threads and not really take much notice of my inbox.

If I haven't really got time to check it I just look at my most recent messages and try to reply to messages that I've missed. Then I get bored and come back to the forum.. its a vicious cycle

Good to know I'm not the only one!

Im really bad at the whole keeping a conversation going thing.. Its not done maliciously I just forget to look back at messages by which time I be received more than I can cope with

honestly even I'd lose patience with myself

You sound like my clone. Then weeks can sometimes pass. They'll message again and the conversation will continue until it stalls again.. Bloody forums!

the forums are so time consuming! No one understands

I'm just glad there is now written evidence that we're not being purposefully ignorant. At least we have something to refer to when being accused of being stuck up

This is so us too, some understand, most don't and as you say think we are ignorant etc. I'm sitting here watching a film with H, perusing on here, doing paperwork for the business & waiting for the kettle to boil

Message all the time = fuck some people off. Don't message all the time = fuck some people off

One of fabs biggest conundrums for us..

For me it depends on if I am compelled to reply on the forums. I like browsing.

I don't get (m)any messages...
