"I'd like someone really special who's a soft shite like I am! Someone highly sexed but also loving, affectionate, caring, friendly and fun! Someone I fancy the pants off (even if not everyone else does) who gives me butterflies in my tummy when I look at him - and who gets butterflies when he looks at me! And if I find that - all the other things I currently don't have will matter not a jot! " Sounds like what I need too but you've probably said it far better than I could of!

"Go on...someone make me smile." Well , I decided this will be my year . I need someone who will make me smile a lot . Someone who would take me out and show me off , wine me and dine me , but equally just join me for a walk or take me paint balling . Someone who would take time to get to know me and make an effort with me . Possible a younger man . Someone who is actually a single guy !

"I'd love to feel the butterflies in the stomach again. Maybe I've been on my own too long now that my outlook on life is different making me too independent. I think the reality of it is my heart says yes let's love again. My head say food off you know it'll turn out the same and you'll end up thinking why did I even try. Having an introvert personality probably doesn't help but it's so easy to do things online nowadays that laziness kicks in. 20 years ago, if you wanted love you had to get out there chuck the grease on the floor and slide on over to the side of a lady with a "why hello there" and see what happens. Maybe I just err on the side of caution too much to protect myself thinking when my daughters older that's when I'll properly start looking for love. It's an excuse. I know it's an excuse. It's an automated excuse to get out of accepting reality. Never say never though " lol butterflies Edit ha ha

"As the year draws in, we often sit and ponder what we would like to achieve, happen in 2017 and for some of you the thought of dating and love might be one of them... So I've decided to do an end of year Dating Thread...As always it's open to everyone BUT my threads are aimed at those who are genuinely single and would like to consider dating and possibly find love in this "world" We all deserve love and happiness and possibly with another dirty sod that you can share life's adventures with.. I wish you all the best 2017 that life could possibly bring you... Well now it's the new year "

He told me not long before he died that he still got butterflies when he saw mum. I'd walk into the kitchen throughout my childhood and adult life and catch them 'sneaking' a kiss and a cuddle! Don't get me wrong - they weren't the waltons and they argued too - but they adored each other! If I can find half what they had I'll be very, very happy! Xx

Someone I fancy the pants off (even if not everyone else does) who gives me butterflies in my tummy when I look at him - and who gets butterflies when he looks at me! And if I find that - all the other things I currently don't have will matter not a jot! Does someone like that really exist? Relationships start out like that, but unfortunately it settles down and things change. My dad died 9 years ago after being with mum for 45 years. Xx Did your Mum feel the same way? If so, what they had is something extremely special and unique, great respect to them. Yeah she did! And yes - they were very lucky indeed! She's disabled - and the day he died she made me help her climb on to his bed so she could hold and cuddle him before he went cold. She hadn't been able to cuddle him for weeks before his death because it was too painful for him. It was a single bed so I had to hold her so she wouldn't fall off (she's pretty frail) for an hour! That's love! That actually made me cry a little. " Yeah - still has me in tears! I don't want to hijack the thread (because we all want to find someone lovely on here!) but I'll say one last thing! Dad wanted to die in his own bed but he knew mum was terrified of being alone when he died! One Monday night my brother and I got a call. 'Your dad's convinced he's going to die tonight and wants you both to come round - humour him will you?' We went and said our goodbyes. He asked me to massage his feet (I bloody hate feet!) and I stayed over just in case he was right. The next day he was still sleeping/breathing so I went home to take the kids to nursery. Mum called to say she couldn't wake dad up. The McMillan nurses came round and confirmed he was close to the end. Only when I'd got there, and my brother, and my daughter were all in his room with mum and holding his hand, did he take his last breath! I've never known anything like it before or since - and I really wish everyone could choose to go this way! Now I'm going to bigger off and cry a bit! I hope we all find at least half why they had! Xxx

"My great gran and grandad got married at the outbreak of world war 2..he then did his duty for 6 years as pilot fighting over Britain and France then the war ended he came home to his sweetheart then had my grandad they had been together since they left school in the early 1930's, she died in 2009 they were that much in love it broke his heart that much he ended up dying 3 months after I don't think his mind body and soul was ever the same since she departed it was absolutely horrible but for me that defines true love " Awwww.....that is love, but I think true love like that is rare. I also think that these days people are different to the older generation, in that we want more, expect more, and there are more pressures on us all in life these days.

Totally agree and I think because it's a material world now people obsess over inanimate objects and forget we are on a rock travelling at 10000's mph around a bigger hot rock but a new iPhone is more important that something as universal like love and compassion...but you gunna unblock your age range so I can reply
