Anti New Years Resolution Thread

London

Good luck to those in the healthy for new year threads but I find making a decision for January 1st completely pointless. My local park is rammed with new year joggers in January who disappear come March. Fitness products are marketed heavily at this time of year. Apparently only 8% of people keep new years resolutions.

Be a shepherd not a sheep. If you're going to make a change, do it any time of the year.

So what are you not giving up?

I like cake. I'm going continue to eat cake. Anyone for cake?

I'm not giving up cheese. Or pasta. I might moderate the amount consumed occasionally. If I remember to.

Yeah, but three months of serious trying can achieve a lot!

I don't ever make new year resolutions, but I still need to get on with some shit and now seems like a good time!

I am healthy and fit for 11 months of the year. January is always my starting point because December is my 'screw it' month ha ha.

So I'm back on my cut now so I'm giving up alot of food.

However I intend to to keep my Raw honey. There's always a debate of how healthy honey really is but it's my preference sweetener when healthy eating. I only use a little in my yoghurt though.

Which honey do you use?

Standard honey has little health benefits it's the manuka Honey's that are crazy healthy but also crazy expensive.

I too use honey but just for tea.

I know! It's so expensive. I just use raw and organic acacia honey, still £7 for 370g though ha ha.

I'm training to be a PT and have lots of PT friends and fitness friends so the debate is ongoing and varied he he.

I just don't like many sweeteners and don't like any artificial sweeteners.

A world of my own

I'm only giving up feeling guilty.

This year I want to just enjoy life more. Oh and learn how to do winged eyeliner without looking like I've been in a fight!

Ha ha no I'm definitely not posh ha ha. I just like raw and organic honey as it's not refined so more natural and it's sweeter too I find so I only use around 5g in porridge or honey instead of 10g for normal/refined stuff. So it works out well money wise.

My birthday is in January, so I never make any New Year's resolutions as I'd only last 10 days!

I prefer to make changes throughout the year when I feel I need to, not because custom dictates I should...although I would love to see the look on my friends' faces if I told them I'd decided to shag more 20-something hotties in 2017!

I'm totally with you on this OP, if I want to do something I'll do it as and when suits me. I'm not giving up my treats, think a bit of what you fancy in moderation is fine. Plus if I carry on going to the gym I can get away with it.

Exactly this!

More fun, more eyeliner ( done properly obvs ) And less guilt!

And I'm going to attempt this "moderation" malarkey that some people seem to be able to do
