Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I have seen some very badly photo-shopped pics on here, and some very good ones. If the person is never going to meet then go for it. Otherwise they're just going to be a disappointment.

Virtually any photo's going to need colour balance and contrast adjusting. Apart from that, I agree that buggering about with ones physog is false advertising and should result in the perpetrator being shot. Slowly and painfully.

I like to stick a filter on but wouldn't actually photoshop my pics to alter bodyshape etc.

People would get a shock when they turned up to meet

"I will never alter body shape or image. but loose dodgy backgrounds and add a decent twist to pic."

No-one has ever been disappointed that I'm not actually black and white in real life and there are plenty of candid snaps in my friends folder. Oh, and I blur my tattoos out in public pics. I do mention the fact I have them in my profile though but I'm not going to put them up for everyone to see.

I like filters because they offer range and mood. As for the others that you mention, I think it's fairly easy to tell in a pic when people are seriously altering things and I just don't message those people.

I filter, crop, take photos in flattering lighting and from good angles. The intention is not to deceive anyone, it's to have nice photos. I meet people socially first anyway so if they were horrified by the real me on arrival then they have an easy get out. I don't alter my body shape, apart from anything else I don't know how to do it.

Mine are mostly colour and cropped. Having seen some good B&W ones I've added a couple.

My face pic is B&W as it's the only one I've ever taken that didn't then involve 15 retakes before I thought 'sod it that will do'

I give a detailed description of my flab and wrinkly face and give them the option of bolting, right up to the point of my knickers coming off. Only one person turned the car around and he wasn't impressed with my candidness about the numbers I have met

The occasional filter but that's all.

Then again, isn't makeup and flattering 'sexy angles' a filter? We all advertise to show off our most appealing selves. If I showed pure reality (bad skin, big tummy) I'd never get a meet.

A world of my own

I filter the life out of my photos. I breathe in and I try for flattering angles. I have never yet had any one run a mile when they meet me. I'm not going to put up a photo that I think I look awful in.

If people want to get creative with their photos I wish them well. Some on this site could really do with learning to crop out messy backgrounds or thinking before they post some of their photos! I've seen many things I wish I hadn't over the years.

I think it's fair enough that most of us post up flattering pics, we are, after all, supposed to be tempting prospective meets. However, it's surely counter productive to actually *alter* what we look like because sooner or later truth will out - if you're serious about meeting. I've put black and white filters on some of mine, added a vignette, cropped others ... but have never smoothed out wrinkles or stretchmarks, or slimmed/enlarged any part(s) of me ... don't have fancy editing software anyway.

I'd far rather someone was attracted to the real me and consequently be able to enjoy a meet honestly rather than be (rightly) called out for creating a completely false impression - or have to meet in pitch darkness ...

Up until now all ours have been done with our phones and if it makes them better they are cropped, tinted, No re-imaging malarky though.

Just got a Samsung Galaxy camera so although the subject matter will be the same hopefully the quality of the pics will improve.

Yeah your pics are always cool and interesting. It gives a different twist to the usual images here. I like to take selfies from flattering angles of myself and use filters to enhance the images, but they are never *photo shopped* to alter my body size.

That would be false advertising in my humble opinion.

Why? Because I have common sense. I have no inclination to meet every single person who views my profile or have some stranger come up to me randomly in the street, when I'm out with friends and family or at work because they've recognised me from my tattoos. It's the same reason I haven't got a face pic public. I only share identifiable details with those I might actually meet.

All of ours are 'photoshopped' in one form or another but only because I use Photoshop as a matter of course. No body shapes or faces are changed.

Very few people are able to change body shapes well, anyway.

Alternatively, very few images are 'right' straight out of the camera.
