We found shed loads of shops open on Christmas Day so it's no shock that a giant supermarket would be open today.

Some of the Tesco stores are closed, I know my local ones (Melton Mowbray) are. But some express and petrol station shops are open

It is open Sunday hours 10-4 x and will never be open xmas day because of legal stuff, small shops are allowed but stores that employ more than certain numbers are not

I suppose it is a shame they have to be there to stack shelves and man the tills. Not like those lazy nurses and other NHS staff, who don't even get Christmas Day off.

I worked retail.they do give you Christmas day and Easter Sunday off.well if the shoppers boycotted say boxing day ,new years day ,good Friday etc.they might get the message but don't bank on it.I agree what about the nurses.with retail its all about greed( quite common this day and age) but the NHS .we need that

There's a big difference between the essentialness ( I think I may have made a word up ) of nursing and retail.
