Forever jar...

Edinburgh

I have a little jar that has become my new year tradition. I write down the things I want to do in the year to come and pop them in the jar.

I'm not really talking resolutions but more places to visit or classes to take, people to visit, letters to write etc.

What would you like to put in my forever jar?

Um... I guess if that's your goal then go for it! Wrap them up first though cause they'll dribble onto my little notes.

That's a good idea. When do you empty the jar?

Ah. I thought you did a random pick when you got bored or something.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'd put you getting my tour of London (which includes standing on the right on the escalator) into your forever jar.

I think you're probably supposed to empty it the next year but that's why I call it my forever jar... the little notes just go in there with the stuff I'd like to do written on it and stay there.

I'd put things like 'stop drinking' and 'be nicer to people' in there then. Its the thought that counts, after all.

I think mine too! I have a mirror that I've written on with a chalk pen... I think I'm going to write Suzy's mantra on it!

I'm going to do my Direct Access course for a big bike licence; several cake decorating courses; new job; and, generally have a great time turning 50
