This time last year I was unfit, not a swinger and trapped within myself.

Now I'm fit, pursuing a career in which to help others get fit, I am a swinger, I love women and I am free of my inner fears. I am liberated and happy.

We have a puppy.

Illness has knocked me for six this year and played havoc with my body confidence and my body.

We have made some wonderful swinging friends.

This time last year I was in a totally different county. Now I've moved, new life, new job. Exploring my inner naughty thing and have tried things that a year ago I would have laughed at!

Lost 2 and a bit stone and cut a shed load of visceral fat in the process.

Also completed my first ultra marathon.

Same house, same job etc etc just much fitter than I have been for years

Also ventured on the forums here and feel far better about myself than I ever have.

Also discovered I like flirting

I won't go into specifics but...

3 years ago my C and I found ourselves trapped in a dark corner where people decided throw shit at us and our children for 3 years, all set against a backdrop of poor health for some of our family. This lasted until around may this year when the shit throwers, realising they were very wrong (though unapologetic) stopped throwing shit.

C and I emerged into the light, realising that not only had the shit throwers not put a dent in our relationship, but they had helped us to realise that together we are invincible and they only served to completely reaffirm our trust in, and commitment to, each other. It did take its toll on our love life but tbh, we had bigger fish to fry at the time.

2 months ago we got married and in the build up to that fell more crazily in love/lust than we ever have been in our 7 1/2 years together and are now enjoying getting to know each other all over again not only is my wife the most incredibly beautiful person I've ever known, inside and out, she's the toughest, most resilient badass I've ever met.

And now we're on here (which would have been unthinkable, even 6 months ago) and putting ourselves first for the first time ever, on an exciting journey together.

So yeah, compared to last year (or any other year for that matter) its been fucking magical.

What's changed for us is our appetite for living in the UK much longer, so we will bring forward our retirement and endeavour to spend a great deal longer elsewhere.......

End of last year: Just secured a new job after gruelling and hardship-filled Uni experiences. Excited to start, but knew little of the specific field and what to expect.

Fast forward a year and I'm flying out to Australia for the second time (same firm, for business). Everything's going fabulously. A lot change in a year!

There and to the left a bit

A lot...joining this site (initially as a couple and now with added single profiles too) and starting swinging (at the tender age of 50 no less!!) was one of the biggest changes. Have also learned a lot about myself and how others perceive me.

A big year that has shown me you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!!

We had a baby this year. Now 4 months later so far i have lost 2 stone 8lbs with a bit more to go. I feel healthier and im so proud of myself for sticking to my diet as i never have done before. This has resulted in a new found self confidence

We are looking forward to start meeting again in the new year and having some fun with new friends.

Actually forgot a couple of other major changes...after 34 years of being friends with Mr Lambert and Mr Butler and various others I finally left them behind me 7 months ago and don't currently envisage inviting them back into my life.

I also continued to lose weight and am now at a point where I can buy medium/large again instead of XL or XXL and fit a 30" waist trouser not a 36"

Moved home to a new area, major house renovations, left my job behind which I loved, got myself a new job which I'm going to love.

Now my rant!!! Bloody broke my elbow in two places on Wednesday in agony and now can't start work for at least 6 weeks which means no money .

Mind you least I can drink tomorrow and it won't hurt

The most amazing year of my life!

After 5 years in the wilderness and with every expectation of remaining single and celibate for the rest of my life, I suddenly discovered that some women can still find me attractive (not many but.. Lol!).

In the last 3 months I've joined fab amongst others, met some great - and sexy - people, and done things I had never dreamt of. Roll on 2017!

Loads has changed since this time last year. After seeing MrWho for a couple of months I fell massively in love with him over new year. I got the best job ever in March. My ex and his partner moved in together which meant he could have the kids 50/50, which has resulted in happier children. I asked my eldest before this happened how he felt about eventually having step-parents and he said "good, because it's more people to love!"

Life is pretty good

12 months ago I was unhappy in my job and was waiting to hear about a voluntary redundancy.

Left in June and have tried a complete career change. Not managed that fully but I am happy.

I've also got to do a bit of travelling, had a great time on Iceland and in the Canaries.

I also got on here again having previously had a profile about 18 months earlier.

Just taking my time though.

Bad things - lost my uncle. Diagnosed with fibro. Registered disabled.

Good things - given up booze. Mental health improved. Finances improved. Over all happiness improved.

Tbh 2016 has been a good year for me.

I'm looking forward to 2017. xxx
