Hull

Years ago when we lived in Scotland, prior to finding the house my parents decided to buy, one of the houses we viewed had all the bedrooms painted with very deep purple walls and black ceilings plus dark carpets.

With the curtains drawn and the lights off it would have made a perfect dark playroom

I don't know of any homes with odd tastes, however i was watching a programme recently where people rate others' Bed and Breakfasts. One couple had an 'enchanted' theme full of fairies, clouds etc whilst another was retro 60's and looked like a set for Austin Powers with bright oranges and zebra prints!

Years ago i was decorating my sons bedroom and had seen a colour scheme on the telly which looked great yellow and blue.

So off i pops to get the paint and started painting,,it was kin horrible

Sooooooooo i thinks i know. ill mix the two and get green

Painted walls again and my son says..the only thing missing is a border that says..Hms battle royal

It was gross, it really was.

Three coats of cream emulsion to get it off too.

Never again

Just a simple case of Maggi an White throughout. Pick up colours with textiles, paintings and photos.

little house on the praire

One of my walls in the living room is purple and the rest a very pale sort of oatmeal colour. Dining room is one wall redcurrant the rest is sandstone(i think), all ready decided on the colours for my bedroom when it gets decorated. Having a new bathroom and thinking of something abit different in there. At the moment its terracota with gold swirls on the wall

The best thing any one can do when decorating is not ask me. I'm AWESOME at most things but not decorating.
