One for the bikers, I have the latest version of the grips,i fitted them about a year ago, just recently I have noticed that when I forget to turn them off, they are stopping on and running down my battery, they are supposed to switch them self off after a few minutes if they detect that the bike is not running. Anyone else had this problem, ?

They should be wired with a relay, so they're only on when your ignition is on

I had them on a bike ages ago, I worked in a garage at the time and the spark wired them up for me, they only worked with the ignition turn on, prob the way the post above says.

Before that, I used 2 crocodile clips on the battery

yes that was the recommended way of doing it on the older grips, but for ease of fitting they introduced this new set with a smart controller that detects when the battery is not being charged, and they turn them self's off, it was working but something appears to have gone wrong with the controller, wrong
