.. Im kinda obsessed with them, always buying them when they are on offer. I'll be honest and admit to being a brand snob and don't buy supermarket own brands, are there any that are very good?

Also cleaning tips are welcome

The land of grey peas and bacon

I use the whizz products from the pound shop and I think they are great. They use the same ingredients in the cheap ones as the expensive ones.. You are paying for the name. The only name brand thing I buy is air freshner and them plug in things but even then I go where the offers are to get them..

I'm obsessed with limscale removers. I cannt stand toilets having even one tiny bit of limescale on, and I have to get the water out from the bottom of the loo using a sponge, don my rubber gloves and liberally apply the pruduct, then I push my arm up the U-bend as far as I can. I have to take gloves off and feel to ensure that the porcelain is smooth, if I feel roughness I have to redo it. It bothers me that there's probably limescale further up that I can't reach.

I look in the bottom of every loo I visit to check for limescale.

Chemicals can be abbrasive and can damage surfaces plus they linger when you clean the oven worst job in the world.

re cleaning the oven... best cleaner ive found is a wall paper scraper lol use that to gently scrape the crud off then crush up a dish washing tablet,, mix with a little water to a paste and apply and leave,, make a coffee/tea drink of choice, then wipe over with a damp cloth.. and bang ,, and the crud is gone..

mainly i use , viniger, lemon juice, or bi carb to clean most things. olive oil makes a great real wood reviver just make sure to polish it well..

Nobody uses them on here do they? Looking at some pictures and the amount of time people spend on line there is no time left to do any cleaning.

I believe some of the fetish websites carry adverts from people who'd be only to pleased to come round to dust and hoover, then clean your oven for you.

".. haha I also think that toilet brushes need to be banned!!

I have to agree that toilet brushes are disgusting. People using them to clean any staining after a flush doesn't clear it all and them dunking them in a holder when pieces of faeces and soaked in urine are embedded in the bristles and they are left there to fester, bacteria multiplying. To keep them hygienic you'd have to clean them after every use so why not just use a cleaning sponge in the first place, throw it after use.
