Remember as a kid in London they used to come round loads.. Around here you get alot of the gypies asking for the scrap metal..

the stinkin messy pain in the arse gypo's are begining to infiltrate the area on their way to appleby to create more mess, disturbance and disruption. not a gud time of year for locals.

Not seen a proper rag n bone man round here for years, as the name suggests they'd take your old rags an any bones you had from that leg of lamb you just finished also any scrap metal too and pay for it, ok not much, not like the ones doing the rounds these days. We have quite a few come round just looking for scrap and they quite often go looking in back gardens when they think no ones looking. On one day we had 6 of them round and on one occasion the cheeky feckers parked they're truck on my drive. We call em tatters in our house, they're not gypsies, the gypsies drive newer trucks.

I love them! They dont take any rags or bones though round here. They are after old washers, your garden gates and anything inside an unlocked shed!

Most people who come round, looking for metal stuff won't take Fridges or Freezers, i think because of the gases.
