off this week.. then 7 weeks back before off again for 6 weeks I think it is...

I dont mind in some ways as it makes getting out easier.. As its easier for me to get a sitter to go to chams in the day with Master if they are not at school.. lol as dont have to get someone to do a pick up from 3 schools..

Its not really that long off... although I am looking at doing teaching because it will fit in with their holidays better..

I also think its not up to schools to teach everything.. and I know that I could read and write before going to school.. remember some countries dont even start school till 7 plus... because they think that before that all learning should be done through play.

And other places have months off over the summer... lol

The kids do tend to come back after the breaks refreshed and ready to learn.... or so it seems ( I have done some time working in schools and just looking at my own kids)

The land of grey peas and bacon

I think they can only do certain amount of hours in school over a course of a year. Hence all the holidays.. I maybe wrong but I am sure that is what my sister said as she is a teacher.

in N Ireland we had pretty much 2 months off during the summer

but our term times were only one week off instead of 2 that you have in england

Bless the little darlings easing the rush hour of urban 4x4s crawling along lest they get a ickle bump.
