Do people actually read a profile before passing judgement, or do they look at a profile pic and pass judgement then?

Or do you actually chat with somebody to figure out if they are worth speaking to. Or again... is it all based on looks?

I see... but if you were to hang out with somebody wouldn't you want them to have a personality to go with what they bring to the table sexually.... I personally can't stand a person who is easy on the eyes but you start talking to them only to realize they are arrogant ignorant or otherwise

I always look at a profile before passing judgement. I look at the pictures, too.

If they do not suit what I am looking for, then no, I do not chat.

I always look at a profile before passing judgement. I look at the pictures, too.

If they do not suit what I am looking for, then no, I do not chat."

Honestly, we always look at the pics first, but we still read profiles.

It's more to see if they come across as a bit of a dick. And to see if they have any preferences that make them incompatible to us.

If I'm approaching someone with an initial message I would always read their profile

Must admit I do not read the profiles of people that have made the initial approach to us when it's obvious they haven't read ours I just hit delete & block

If i dont find you sexually attractive doesnt matter how awesome a profile you have I'm not going to sleep with you.

However if you do have smoking hot pics and i do find you sexually attractive but your profile makes your personality seem awful im still not going to try and sleep with you.

So both, but generally the hotter you are the more leway you get when it comes to your writing skills

Ok getting ultra lean/shredded is just way to big of a lifestyle change for most people and is understandably rare, but just having a decent amount of muscle and reasonable body fat is very achievable.

I always read a profile before entering into any conversation with anyone on here, usually I don't bother if they aren't what I'm looking for as what's the point in that

As a woman there are a lot of messages to get through and I can't waste time giving everyone 'a chance'.

First look is the message. We can tell an awful lot about a guy who just says "Hi". From that message it's a no.

Then the face pic, assuming he sends one. If he looks grumpy and/or like a psycho killer then it's a no.

If he looks like he might be attractive to me then I read the profile. If it then transpires he is "looking to meet women and couples" and is obsessed with his cock then it's a no.

If by any chance he seems interesting after a message a face pic and a profile then I will chat. But only to establish if we are going to meet for a coffee social.

And face to face is the only way to really find out if there is true attraction of any kind, in my opinion.

Forumites are different because you can gauge a lot more about their personality before the coffee social

You see that's where you're wrong OP, I'm neither hung like a bull nor do I have the body of Michaelangelo but generally do ok for chatting to different people, some of which are on this very thread

So have certainly not been "brushed aside". Can't speak for my own profile, and what people think of it, but do think it comes down to having an interesting profile and a set of pics that aren't ALL cock pics, as much as it does body shape though.

You also have going against you that you're overseas, which isn't going to help you with mainly UK based ladies looking to meet.

Everyone I've met from here I've met as a result of what they said, how they said it and whether or not we were compatible as a result. The visual aspect is the least important. I read the profile, then look at pictures. If that intrigues me enough then I will chat.

I can usually tell after a few messages whether I like them or not. Personality is the 1st deciding factor, followed by physical attraction at a close 2nd.

If people message with a simple "hi" or similar, then I don't even bother checking out their profile, I simply delete.

Visual aspect is important in sexual attraction but that doesn't always come across in a photograph - how their smile lights their face, a sparkle in their eyes, the way they hold their posture....all these things cannot be detected easily from many of the photos shared on fabs.

Personality is also important for me to want to get sexual with someone - personality is impossible to judge from internet profiles but there are certain things that disinterest me totally so if those things are noticeable in the profile I take note and decline further contact.

Personality and physical attractiveness are much easier to gauge once you are face to face with the other person - this is why meeting in a swingers club works best for us
