I'm lay in the bath listening to Gnossienne No. 1, piano by Erik Satie trying to switch off from the stresses of life. What makes you relax, switch off and imagine beautiful things? This piece makes me so at ease.

I'm so busy at the moment but have to have some downtime. Classical music relaxes and calms me. I feel better for those 20 mins of me time.

It's an exquisite piece of music but it always has me welling up, I find it really poignant

The most relaxed I ever feel is when I can lie with very little on in boiling hot sun, crystal clear sea close at hand, feeling the warmth penetrate my bones. Unfortunately that's not so easily available all year round though ...

Oh god, yes, exquisite describes the piece perfectly. It doesn't make me cry but it definitely moves me and actually gives me horny thoughts; erotic feelings

A good way to relax is laying in the bath with someone, listening to Erik Satie's piano concerto. That would be a wonderful way to get rid of the day's stresses

a quandary, could you change my mind?

I relax in different ways for different reasons.

Love a hot bath to soak in, but I'm not truly relaxed.

Minimum would be : Music, a space I feel safe, a quietness within my head. Occasionally : a couple of drinks although that can also work against me clearing my head.

With hopefully : Great company someone I trust fully.

I did have wine I would have loved some company; someone to appreciate the music and the "moment".

Nice hot bath can be good. Previous house owners put in a nice long one so I can lay down properly in it.

You can't beat the whole body being covered in warm water. Big baths should be mandatory in a house

Knocked out by large bags or a black eye from a woman.

I'm still leaning towards the second option

Well this thread just reminded me how much I miss listening to piano and violin together so I'm currently downloading.

However to relax I find really stressful hobbies weirdly relaxing, in that they make me switch off from the more stressful things in life like work etc.

Einaudi you say we've seen him three times

Relaxing for H, bath, rum, co-codamol (back). For me, music, headphones & a room so dark your eyes never adjust to it.
