Slang language and its use on FAB

I don't want to appear an old fart but I noticed that there seems to be an increase in the use of slang on profiles and even in forums. I am really amazed to see that the age of some people using it are towards their 30's. Why can we not say 'a lot' but instead feel the need to say 'bare/bear' etc?

Let's try to use the correct words in the correct context. What are your thoughts?

Ohhhhhhhh! Now that you've said that it rings a bell.

I sometimes use a bit of Geordie slang on here if I feel like messing with people.

However it is disconcerting when people use a lot of it on their profiles, and text speak is irritating.

I sometimes use a bit of Internet slang on here due to the other types of sites I use, but I try to keep it to a minimum.

Bear or bare is used before something to define the quantity in this case instead of sayings a lot of something they say bear.

Central

local language expressions are likely going to be used here when people use them near automatically in everyday life.

If you find you cant have meaningful intercourse with others, of whatever type, then use it as a filtering tool for you.

im not a fan of wuu type appreviations and text speak, as Im perhaps too set in my ways already. The use of lol, whrn something is barely amusing, even for the writer, does grind.

"Bare = naked to me xxx"

Reminds me of an anecdote a colleague told me, he used to work with Orange, before they were EE, in their call centre.

Apparently they weren't allowed to say 'bare with me' to a customer as some bigwig said it sounded too much like 'get naked with me'
